Great piece, Patrick. I am torn - I like it as is, but I also understand the feeling that it needs a little something more.
...Perhaps a solitary bird flying off into the distance? Just a thought.

I'm in the same place with one of my pieces, so I am feeling that same sense of uncertainty!

Best of luck!

Thanks all, for your ideas. I do think it could use...something. I think I'll put this to the side until I figure out exactly what that is. Wouldn't be right to force it. cheers

I love patterns..and yours are so lovely! the textures and mix os colours are really awesome.. I agree with you but I don't think it needs more stuff in it..only a special touch of something..perhaps a little soft different pattern in the background.

I love that white cloud up at the top. 'Course anything naturey gets me most of the time. It does seem like it needs something...what, I'm not sure. Lots of help I am... I figured out why I like that white one, it reminds me of the North Wind blowing in one of those oldie but goodie Christmas cartoons that air in December. I'm not sure which one it is, though. I did find some paper through Paper-Source but only one sheet is navy. Doggone that navy. :o)

Eavesdropping on our wives kvetching in Japanese about the care-n-feeding of their alien Pets, it's obvious they are resigned to the fact we're wagamama-and-proud-of-it.

Thanks Scott. Good point about the comments section. I've done some tweaking so they're a bit closer to the text now. Not perfect, but a step in the right direction.

I almost missed the comment section, since it was far away from your artwork.

It was fun to hear about your process and how your brain works. Thanks for sharing that. It's a really nice piece!
