Eons ago, when the molten surface of the Earth was beginning to cool and get crispy; when single-celled organisms were just beginning to consider popping into existence, Emma Kid, erstwhile printmaker and writer of the blog benconservato bestowed upon me the mantle and responsibilities of the “You Make My Day” award. Thanks Emma!
Being the kind of guy who loves to shirk this kind of responsibility (actually, I’ll shirk just about anything), I’m only now getting around to accepting the award and passing it up the line. Here are the rules:
- The recipients should write a post with links to 5 blogs that make them think warm fuzzy thoughts.
- Acknowledge in the post the award giver.
- Display the “You Make My Day Award” logo with a link to the original post (Optional)
- Tell the award winners that they have won by commenting on their blogs with the news.
I hereby pass the award along to the following worthwhile souls:
Mulele Jarvis
Matt Hill
Tim Budden
Neda of Papiers Colles
Beth Pacentrilli
Godspeed to them all

As I said to Neda,
Delighted to make your acquaintance. These delightful recent posts in April bring Maxfield Parrish to mind. Thanks for the rememory, Arigato gozaimasu.

Thanks Matt and Ron! Maxfield Parrish, eh? Wow. Quite an honor to be compared to his work. Now I’m the one who is humbled. And Matt, that entry actually made me blush a little. ‘Course, I’m half Irish, so making me turn red isn’t exactly a huge challenge…

WOW!! haha…I don’t know that I should confess this, but I only JUST stumbled upon your wonderful gift! And when I say stumbled, I mean I had NO idea a comment was left on my blog. I’m still a “newby.” Now that you have tagged me with such an award, I believe I should step it up and get writing!
Thanks, Patrick!
