Thanks everyone! Yeah, I think those pagans roll alot. My hard drive is replaced and the new one is doing fine. Hopefully it lasts until I'm ready to upgrade to...whatever's next. cheers!

Thanks for the link! Yeah, a lightbox would be great for a 2D image. 'Course, I would want one with a wooden frame for aesthetic reasons. I was also thinking of more 3 dimensional application: like lanterns or multi-level cutouts to play with shadows. This is gonna take some thought and experimentation...and maybe a little cash. Thankfully, I've got years of paper cutting ahead of me.

Wow, she's gorgeous...that's more like an accusation than a compliment. I really like this new phase of light on dark; the illuminated moment you had with her was a nice mental image too. How puritanically ironic of us to "cut out" that which is scandalous in classical mythology...the pagans are rolling in their graves.
This piece is really classically beautiful. Reminiscent of the traditional image of Temperance in the tarot, too.
Hope all is well with your hard drive.

>>"...surprised by how beautiful it was illuminated from behind. Sometime in the future, I’ll have to play around with illumination..." <<

What you are looking for is a commercial "light box" for advertising purposes. Smaller light boxes are inexpensive---under $100. For example:
